Mr. Taylor practices primarily in the fields of real estate, banking and estate planning/settlement. He is the Legal Counsel for The Delaware Association of Realtors and The New Castle County Board of Realtors. He is a Corporator and Director of Artisans’ Bank. Mr. Taylor has been named in Woodward/White’s Directory as one of the Best Lawyers in America in the Real Estate field (1993-2021). Mr. Taylor has been recognized multiple times by Delaware Today magazine as one of Delaware’s Top Lawyers in 2019 for Real Estate.
Mr. Taylor is committed to his local community having volunteered with Boy Scout Troop 2, served as past President of the Board of Trustees of The Independence School, and as a board member and treasurer of Family Promise of Northern New Castle County Delaware. For ten years, Mr. Taylor mentored students in aluminum welding for the FIRST robotics team MOE365. Mr. Taylor is a member of the Committee of 100. He also lectures and teaches extensively to real estate brokers and salespeople in the field of Real Estate Law.
Mr. Taylor has served as an expert witness regarding real estate matters, and he has actively contributed to the drafting of major legislation regarding real property rights and disclosure requirements in Delaware, including the Buyer Property Protection Act providing for Seller’s Disclosure of Real Property Condition Report Form, Delaware Fair Housing Act, Commercial Broker’s Lien Act, Delaware Agency statute, Licensing Act and Regulations for Real Estate Brokers and Salespeople, and Consumer Information Statement.
